Coriolanus
Jacques-Raymond Brascassat 1831. Coriolanus, Gnaeus Marcius, the 5th century General being persuaded by his wife Volumnia not to march on Rome. Jacques Raymond Brascassat (30 August 1804 – 28 February 1867) was a successful French painter notably winning the Prix de Rome of 1825, who moved from history to landscape subjects, finally devoting his talent amd his reputation to animal subjects.
