Playful Cherub
James Barry, Ireland, Cork 1741- London 1806 The Irish painter was the protégé of Edmund Bourke and one of the founder members of the Royal Academy. Political infighting resulted in Sir Joshua Reynolds having him expelled, April 15, 1799. His work is in the Grand Manner of the period
